Qds and Cantilever

Welcome

The research topics of the Technological Physics group emphasize the further development of semiconductor nanostructuring technologies based on the "top-down" approach, i.e., based on lithographic methods, as well as on the "bottom-up" approach, i.e. by using self-assembly effects. Those techniques have been applied to realize new device concepts in micro-/nano-system technologies, in optoelectronics, nanophotonics and nanoanalytics. Examples are: the further development of cantilever techniques for high speed imaging, sensoric applications and nanomanipulation, the continuative development of semiconductor quantum dot structures for high power telecom lasers and single photon sources as well as new nanomaterials like nano-crystalline diamond layers.
